Experience
Bid Preparation for third party contract surveys for UK CivilHydrography Programme 2002/3 and 2004/5.
Research - Participated in a study for the Maritime and Coastguard Agencycomparing and evaluating different surveying methods used in the
UK Civil Hydrography Programme (2002).
Supervision and logistic support for offshore survey operations(East Coast of Saudi Arabia) including the provision and monitoring
of DGPS services. Advised on the geodetic implications of adjustment
of existing survey control to new GPS survey network for fieldwork
already undertaken (1993).
Planning and participation in contract surveys for nautical charting. Supervision of survey contractors carrying out surveys fornauticalcharting on UK Continental Shelf.
14 years of commercial hydrography at senior management level,in hydrocarbons production, marine civil engineering, ports and
nautical charting sectors.
4 years in command of survey ships in charge of planning, executionand reporting of hydrographic surveys for the UK Hydrographic Department.
12 years of sea surveying activities in less developed areas inco-operation with host country nationals and;
acquisition and presentation of hydrographic, oceanographic andgeophysical data for UK Hydrographer.
