• Retained by claimant's solicitors to investigate marine aspects of a personal injury claim resulting from a vessel coming to an abrupt stop. Case settled in claimant's favour (2007).
• Retained by solicitors acting for vessel charterers defending an unsafe port claim. Provided expert opinion on hydrographic issues. Initial instructions received July 2005 and participation in tribunal hearing concluded in July 2006. Arbitrators found for the defendants and specifically stated in their reasons that hydrographic and dredging practices in the port were not causative of the casualty.
